Heber DUI Lawyer | Heber & Wasatch County Justice Court DUI Defense
Heber has two justice courts on the same stretch of Main Street, and they are not interchangeable. Heber Justice Court, at 75 North Main Street, hears Heber City cases. Wasatch County Justice Court, at 85 North Main Street, hears the county docket, including Midway. Dallin Littlefield defends DUI cases in both.

Two courts on Main
75 N and 85 N Main
Heber City and Midway
Most hearings virtual
Ten street numbers apart, and the wrong door is the wrong case.
Heber Justice Court is the municipal court at 75 North Main Street, Heber City. A DUI charged by the city, inside Heber City, is filed here. Wasatch County Justice Court is at 85 North Main Street. It is the county court. It covers county territory and the towns that do not run a municipal justice court of their own, including Midway, Charleston, Daniel, Hideout, Independence, Interlaken, and Wallsburg.
Heber City shows up in both conversations because the county courthouse is in Heber, and because the city has its own court. A city case and a county case are different files. Appearing at 75 North when your notice says Wasatch County, or at 85 North when it says Heber Justice Court, does not put you on the right calendar. Follow the court name on the citation.
People also mix this valley up with Summit County. A stop in Park City, Coalville, or on the Summit County side of the ridge is Summit County Justice Court, not either of these Heber courts. Stops happen along US-40 through the Heber Valley, in Midway, and on the roads around Deer Creek and Jordanelle. The caption still decides which court has the case.
Most first-offense DUIs in Utah are Class B misdemeanors handled in justice court. Both of these Heber courts hear that level of case. A DUI filed as a more serious offense, including where there is a prior DUI, an injury, or a child in the car, goes to district court. Dallin will not tell you which building to plan around until he has seen the charging document.
Heber Justice Court
Heber City's municipal court. Use this address when the caption says Heber Justice Court. It is not the county calendar, even though the county court is on the same street.
Wasatch County Justice Court
The county court for Midway, Charleston, Daniel, Hideout, Independence, Interlaken, Wallsburg, and other Wasatch County territory that does not have a municipal court.
Whichever court is named, the first setting does the same job.
It states the charge and your rights. It is not the end of the case.
-
Go to the court on the notice
75 North and 85 North are both in Heber City. Only one of them has your case. Read the caption the night before, not from the curb.
-
The charge is stated and your rights are explained
Arraignment is where the court tells you what you are accused of and advises you of the right to counsel. Many people plead not guilty or ask for time to hire a lawyer. It is a poor moment to guess at a resolution because you want the morning to be over.
-
Ask whether Main Street is required that day

Call (435) 294-6806A Midway case does not have to mean a morning on Main Street.
Most hearings at both courts are held virtually or hybrid. Many people attend online instead of standing on Main Street. If your notice says to appear in person, the address is either 75 or 85 North Main, and they are not substitutes for each other.
The consult is by phone or video. You can call from Midway, Heber, or Charleston without coming to the Saratoga Springs base. Utah's license process runs on a separate short timeline from the criminal case. Dallin will tell you what to pull out of the paperwork you already have.
How a defense is built for either court on Heber's Main Street is on the DUI practice page. If you would rather write than call, use the contact page.
